WHAT’S NEW WITH YOU GUYS?

We’ve just released the second single from our ‘Romance’ E.P, called IMD, we are very excited to get underway with releases however, the E.P won’t be out for a little while, but we have a bunch of content available for listeners on all streaming platforms already.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY LISTENING TO?

At this very moment we are listening to the 1975’s first album. Although, what we listen to the most on a daily basis are our Brighton comrades Beach Riot, Gaffa Tape Sandy and H_ngm_n, and many others from our beautiful scene.

WHAT’S THE MOST MEMORABLE SHOW YOU’VE PLAYED?

At this moment our most recent show, headlining at the Hope and Ruin, it was a fantastic night put together by some great friends and generally was an amazing experience.

WHAT’S THE STRANGEST SHOW YOU’VE PLAYED?

The second time returning to a house party show to headline, organised by an unnamed individual at an undisclosed address, though the show was great fun and we had a brilliant time. Only those who attend these shows will understand the true chaos involved at a gig like this.

WHERE’S GOOD FOR PRE/POST-GIG GRUB?

Belgian Chips, no question.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE LOCAL SUSSEX MUSIC SCENE?

Speaking mostly for Brighton, the community is so supportive and so laser focused on giving people the chance to play in some wonderful venues, with great bands. Special mention to Sugar-Free records and Stoked and Broke for putting on some of the best alternative music nights we’ve been to.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE/MOST CHERISHED BIT OF GEAR?

I think the whole band can unanimously say that the Ibanez DS-7 distortion pedal is the most important guitar FX pedal that has ever existed and ever will exist. Though, as we self-record/ produce every bit of gear makes a difference as we are always experimenting with different flavours and tones.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE ALBUM?

Alessandro (vocals/ guitar): 21 by Pasosh
Sam (guitar): In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel
Jack (Bass): Either / Or by Elliott Smith
Ben (Drums): I Let It In And It Took Everything by Loathe

IF YOU COULD INVITE THREE MUSICIANS, ALIVE OR DEAD, TO A DINNER PARTY WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE, AND WHAT WOULD YOU TALK ABOUT?

Tim Kinsella (Cap’n Jazz/Joan Of Arc), Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) and Jeremy Enigk (Sunny day Real Estate). We would talk about many things but mostly the age-old question: What is real emo?
